It's Hip to be Square!!!Round dinnerware is so last year. According to successful retail programs 30% of your fashion dinnerware should be in
the square style. I guess now the nerds from high school have grown-up and taken over the fashion dinnerware industry.
LOL!!! Who knew that being "L7" (square) would be so fashionable!!!

2011 Dallas Market Total Home & Gift Market Whew....I never thought I would be the first person to give up on shopping. LOL!!! However, the two days that
I spent at the Dallas Market has really brought out the best in me. After having to spend 40 minutes EACH DAY looking
for a parking space, then walking around a 50,000 square foot building in boots...Yes, you have to look fashionable at
the Market really proved that I am a "shop-a-holic"...in a good way though. Well..take a quick sneak
peek at some of my market finds. P.S. Guess what...I will be back at the market again on January 27 for the
Apparel and Accessories Market doing the same thing. I guess some people just never learn. LOL!! This living space in one of the showrooms was a showstopper! The mirrors were custom designed by a local Dallas
artisan and the walls were wallpapered with actual NEWSPAPER!! Grey is the new color in interior design and with
this showroom space I can clearly see the reason why! Animal print is a Haute pattern and will never go out of style. It is paired nicely with this damask print on this oversized
ottoman. This ottoman would look nice in a master bathroom or in a formal living space in lieu of a traditional coffee
table. Lampshades are the earrings to an interior space Especially when they are this gorgeous. This lampshade looks
can be replicated on a budget. Call me for tips on how to duplicate these looks or be on the lookout for a Haute On
Designe Webepisode How to Show coming soon.

Baby....It's Cold Outside!!!Whew...who knew that it could get 26 degrees in Texas. The sun is out but it is very cold! Well, this gives us
Texans the chance to pull out those long-awaited cable knit sweaters, fur coats and fur vests. I wonder if I was ever
going to be able to wear my faux fur coat or have to make it into a custom pillow! LOL!!! Anyway...today is "Fashion
Friday"...so here is the look for today.

Don't Paint Yourself Into a Corner... Wallpaper Instead!A viewer last year wanted to know if wallpaper was making a comeback....simply NO...because it never went out of style. Wallpaper
is just as timeless as an animal print purse, shoes, or a decorative pillow. When decorative faux finishes
were introduced into the design industry, many homeowners, designers and decorators fell in love with the look, the cost and
the ease of its' application and removal (hey, I fell for the trend too...LOL). However, I am a decorator who
prides herself in creating timeless interior spaces, so I was still encouraging some of my clients to forgo a decorative
faux finish for a timeless wallpaper treatment. I may have only convinced 1 out of 10 of my clients, but the ones who
decided for wallpaper still love it today and have not regretted their decision one bit. Matter-of-fact, one of
the walls in one of my bathrooms have a gorgeous wallpaper pattern on it. (Ha-ha...I practice what I preach). Anyway...take
a look at some of these Google images of interior spaces that were decorated with wallpaper. They're Haute! There is no way that you can get this look with paint. Any seasonal or professional decorative faux finisher could
not replicate this look on a good day. Wallpapering just one wall in this space allows the bed to be the focal point
and negates the need for additional wall decor because of the intricate wallpaper pattern. Wow!!!... Is all I could say when I viewed this foyer space in this home. The zebra wallpaper is a
little on the wild side. However, be it said in the interior design industry...your front foyer tells more
about you and your personality than the rest of your home. Which reminds me...what is my foyer saying about me?
LOL! This wallpaper pattern is not for the faint at heart. However, small powder rooms are the perfect space to
test bold and graphic patterns and paint colors.

Do you have problems choosing which colors to coordinate in your fashion wardrobe or home decor? There is no such
thing as a wrong color...just the wrong color choice for that particular fashion outfit or space. I know picking
colors is a scary thing but you have to overcome that fear unless you want to live in a hospital-like environment or
have your clothes just blend into the crowd. Don't get me wrong...there is not anything wrong with that choice,
but life is meant to be lived with vibrancy! Incorporating color is the way to bring vibrancy into your fashion wardrobe
and home decor. My quick solution is a colorwheel. You can purchase a colorwheel from a local craft store
or download an image from the internet. The colorwheel will show you how different colors work with each or against
each or blend together. You can't go wrong in your color choices by using a colorwheel. So go ahead and try
it...you just may like it.

Let Go of My Eggo!!Try an egg white facial mask today. Just as egg whites provide an excellent source of protein for your muscles...it
has the same effect on the skin. An egg white mask can tighten and firm your face for a more youthful appearance.
