M’A’C……those three little letters carry a big punch in the make-up industry. Celebrities from “A-list” to “D-list” wear their make-up, some singers have their very own lipstick color, and even your everyday “moms” such as myself flaunt their makeup line. Today, was the day to refurbish my M’A’C makeup supply, so I ventured over to Nordstrom’s in the Galleria Mall to treat myself to my annual “M’A’C-A-Thon” shopping spree. My M’A’C-A-Thon shopping spree consists of spending at least an hour trying on and shopping for new M’A’C products. Today, I had to cut it short because M’A’C was having some sort of M’A’C Bash and it was crazy crowded in the cosmetic section. But to no avail, I ended up with some great eye-shadows and two new tubes of lipstick.
“The eyes have it”……I just recently started wearing eye-shadow to help highlight and bring out my eyes. My previous eye makeup routine consisted of a neutral color over the entire lid with a brown eyeliner and black mascara. It was not until I started videotaping my “Haute On Design” webepisodes when I started to wear more eye makeup, particularly wearing eye-shadow. I needed to learn how to blend colors and apply the eye-shadow so I found a YouTube channel called Make-Up Geek. She has THE BEST makeup tutorials on YouTube.
The two colors that are crucial to my eye-shadow routine are M’A’C’s Swiss Chocolate that I now use as a base all over my lid and the M’A’Cs Soft Brown that I use as a blending color. These colors work perfectly on women of color of the brown skin complexion.
I have always loved a neutral lip because it allows you the opportunity to go bold with your eye-shadow. I chose an everyday wear neutral in M’A’Cs Viva Glam’s Ravishing in the cremesheen finish and my new favorite pink neutral is M’A’Cs Speed Dial in the cremesheen finish also.
Completely satisfied with my new M’A’C products and not to mention they look great on me, I am now ready to face the world……one M’A’C at a time….LOL!!!!
