With Easter falling in the same month as Spring, it makes it easier to decorate for each of the seasons.. I normally decorate with eggs and bunnies for the Easter holiday, but this year I am planning on decorating for the real reason….The Resurrection of Christ. Yes, I am still going to decorate with cute bunnies and eggs, however, I will be incorporating crosses and spiritual accessories.
After celebrating Easter, I just simply remove the crosses, eggs and the cute bunnies while leaving the Spring decor to blossom throughout my home. Below are just some of my Easter and Spring decorative accessories I use to decorate my home. Once I have completed the decorating process, I will post my “Haute On Design 2013 Easter and Spring video.
I purchased the robin eggs from the Dallas Market during their First and Second Mondays. This is when the showrooms sell their samples, floor models, discontinued items and overstocks at great prices. The fake monkey grass I purchased from Michael’s. I normally place the grass on a cake plate and nestle in colorful decorated eggs. The cute ceramic bunnies I purchased from the local thrift store and at $1.49 each, they were just too cute to pass up. I will place these on my formal dining table as decorative accessories. The green moss balls I purchased from Michael’s and they will be placed in a tray with a potted iris plant. The plastic white eggs I purchased from Hobby Lobby…one of my favorite places to shop…and they wiIl be placed in a tall glass vase with Spring time florals. The faux white florals I purchased from the Dollar Tree and I can’t tell you what my plans are for those…ssh, I have an upcoming video showing my plans for those….so stay tuned
