Wednesday is the day when I am able to do a little bit of thrift store shopping. And the majority of the thrift stores run their specials and sales on Wednesdays. I have always wondered why Wednesdays, never asked, but came to the conclusions maybe because it is “hump day”?….LOL! I normally make my rounds to at least 3 thrift stores but, I was only able to visit one due to time constraints. However, I ended up finding three great things that ended up being my Haute “Finds” for the day….LOL!
I am currently in the process of changing the color palette in my home. I am incorporating lighter colors such as soft yellows, whites, soft blues and creams. I am extending this color palette into my dishware….all white dishware. So when I found these cute little cow creamers, I instantly fell in love and had to have them. A tip I learned from my dad is to always research items before you buy them because they could be antiques and be worth some money. I did my research via my I-Phone (what would we do without these phones…lol) and discovered that these little gems cost anywhere from $10.00 – $15.00 each and that I was paying a mere $1.49 each…..#winning. These are going to look great and fun to use whenever I have guests over for tea and coffee.
The summertime is when I host several parties and events at my home. Matter of fact, I am hosting an evening soiree for some of my closest friends in the month of July. I have been in the process of finishing several design projects around my home for in preparation for this party. Not wanting to be the “host without the most”, I always look for creative ways to display food and drinks at my events.
